Skyrim Glitch … in the Main Quest!?
Posted by Sandra's Stories
I’ve been so neglectful of my blog lately. Probably because I’ve been extremely busy with my workterm/Skyrim/Skyward Sword.
Anyway …
The newest Elder Scrolls game has a glitch in the main quest it seems. After agreeing to have a peace treaty, the Greybeard tells me to go speak with the general and Ulric Stormcloak. Well that’s all good and easy … except after I speak with the Stormcloak guy, the general won’t even speak with me unless I join the legion! And when I join the legion and tell him about the peace treaty, the quest doesn’t update and the general will no longer speak to me again!
So … I am stuck in an endless loop, it appears, with no other option but to restart my game or wait for a patch to fix this.
I know some game companies like to give their players a challenge, but to make things impossible? … Well, that isn’t very fair. >: (
Oh well. Back to Skyward Sword, I guess.

Two Days Until NaNoWriMo!
Posted by Sandra's Stories
Eek!! Two days left! Two days until National Novel Writing Month, that is!
Unless you’ve been living under a rock all these years, you’ll know that Halloween is tomorrow night, but after that comes the hectic NaNoWriMo.
Honestly, I’m a little nervous about it. I’m going to be on my workterm starting tomorrow, and then both Skyrim and Skyward Sword come out in November, both of which I want to play. It’s going to be intense, I tell you.
On the bright side, however, I managed to come up with an idea for my NaNoWriMo project. Let’s just say it involves magic, dragons, floating islands, and dangerous enemies.
Meanwhile, I’m trying to find an envelope big enough to fit my manuscript in and also trying to decide what colours to paint the apartment.
Decisions, decisions.
Anyway, off to watch some Criminal Minds and eat some smiley fries! : )

Last Day of School – ign.com – Nosy Cashiers
Posted by Sandra's Stories
It’s finally here, the day I’ve long been waiting for! No, not the release day of Elder Scrolls 5 or The Legend of Zelda … but the last day of school!! I literally have one final day left of school before my work term starts on Monday! It’s very exciting. It’s just one more thing I won’t have to worry about.
In other news, has anyone ever tried buying anything from ign.com? My boyfriend created an account today, tried to sign up for a free 30-day trial for a game, and they charged him $80 for it!! Then, when he tried to contact them, there was NO phone number! All you can do is leave a comment on their site and “hope” that they get back to you. We seriously searched everywhere for a number, and finally I searched google and found one. Though, when he called, he reached a voice mail that told him to check customer support on their website.
Seriously?
So it’s a really annoying company in my opinion. Has anyone ever had any problems like this before? And if so, is there a better way of going about it?
I went to the pharmacy today to pick up a prescription, and was happy to see that there were no cashiers behind the counter this time, being nosy and reading my prescription like last time. I was very much irritated when it happened, and no one behind the counter said anything at all. But when the pharmacy girl heard about what happened, she was not impressed and said she’d talk to the manager about it.
Mission accomplished, I guess. Have any of you guys dealt with nosy people like this before? I’d love to hear about it. Funny stories always makes my day. : )
Anyway, I’m heading off to maybe watch a little bit of Criminal Minds. Currently at season 6 right now. Almost at the newest season! Now I’m just wondering what to watch after I finish it … hmm …
