So the iPad 3′s launch was today. Here’s a bit of info to fill you in on this neat new gadget in the Apple line.
First off, it’s actually not even called the iPad 3, but just the iPad. It has one million more pixels than the iPad 2. One million!
That’s a lot of pixels. More than your HDTV, in fact.
Let’s see what it has …
The resolution is 2048 x 1536, with an A5X processor, quad-core graphics, and a 5 MP camera on the back (capable of 1080p HD video capture). With 4G LTE capability, you can get some pretty fast download speeds. It also has up to 1o hours of battery life for you iPad addicts.
Now let’s look at the physical features …
It’s only about 9 mm thick, and only weighing a little over a pound. It will – of course – be in black and white.
Pricing for the new Apple iPad will be $499 for the 16 GB, $599 for the 32 GB, and $699 for the 64 GB. You can run this on Rogers, Bell, and Telus in Canada, while the U.S. gets At & T, and Verizon.
Pre-orders are starting today, but the actual product won’t be available until the 16th of March.
Looks pretty cool to me.
