I Hate Snow + Modern Vampires & Dreamweaver

That’s right. I hate snow. I live in Canada and I can’t stand the stuff. Right now, there’s a huge blizzard outside, which means I’m stuck inside for the day (because there’s no way I’m going out into that wind and cold!).

Oh well. Gives me time to work on another book. I like medieval and fantasy genres, but I bet if I wrote a book about a vampire it would instantly be more popular. I mean, what happened to the days where vampires were scary bloodsuckers? Now they have souls and apparently have the ability to make girls pregnant (even though that should be impossible).

Let’s think about this: Edward Cullen was alive for so many years, and instead of doing something productive, like find a cure for some terrible disease or join a profession that saves lives, he decides to redo high school over and over again and seduce a teenager.

You see? There is something terribly wrong with vampires these days. I find nothing romantic about a human falling in love with a blood-sucking-monster.

Anyway … enough of that. I should also work on my website today. Yes, I started designing a site. I figured I’d put my book info on it, amongst other things. The only thing I hate about designing sites is Adobe Dreamweaver. That program makes me frustrated. And because it makes me frustrated, I lose the motivation I need to make a nice-looking site. So far I’m stuck on the basic template. I really want to stray from the original Dreamweaver designs, but I can’t think of an idea yet. Maybe it will come to me later.

I’m off for now. I hope everyone else has a nice snow-free day!

Interview an Author Game

So I read about something really fun last night and I thought I’d share it with fellow authors (and everyone else!). It’s a simple sort of game, where owners of blogs who have written novels interview each other and post the article on their blogs. You ask five questions about them/their book/etc. and they ask you five questions (through e-mail). You also write something about them in the post and perhaps their e-mail or where their book is sold, and then you post about it. It’s quite simple and sounds like an interesting marketing technique.

So the authors get free publicity and the readers get to find out more about the story and perhaps discover something they like.

If anyone is interested in playing this game with me, leave a comment below! (and your e-mail & link to your book/s)

For now, I’m off!

My Novel Now On Apple iBook!

My book was shipped off to Apple today! Very excited!! Now just waiting on Kobo and Barnes & Noble. Hopefully I’ll see my story uploaded to them soon as well.

Really enjoying Sherlock Holmes right now. Books & show (BBC). Can’t wait for the new season to start!

Anyway, time for bed.
